Gargoyles' 'verse: The Castle: Shopping Trip (Probably Lacking in Doom)
Guinevere materialized in the courtyard of the castle with a nervous look, afraid for a moment that it hadn't actually worked. After all, the one courtyard looked pretty much like the other.
Though, truth be told, she'd be nervous anyway. The very idea of simply going out into public--shopping, Franklin had called it--was beyond strange to her. She was from a time when her kind were tolerated at best, not unlike some kind of mangy watchdog that the humans kept. Useful, but not at all important. And times were not much better several centuries in the future. Could it all have changed so much here?
And there was the scarier notion that somewhere out there in this universe, there might still exist a Demona. The one from the universe she now called home was removed from things, forever sealed in sleeping stone. But here... could she face herself, if it came down to it? She did not know.
And then there were her emerging feelings for Franklin...

People smiled at her, attracted by the brightness of her hair and skirt. There were a few hostile looks, but the people who gave them were glaring at everyone.
Franklin was grinning in triumph as he turned and offered her three of the skewers. "These are really good. I like the peppers, too. That's the red things between the curled up meat."

The pepper on the other hand, nearly set her mouth of fire. "Oh...!"
