Elisa-garg's reality. Castle Wyvern. Alone on the battlement the day after halloween.

Icy shivered slightly as the cold autumn rain pattered down on her and trickled down her back, though she was oblivious to the chill. Her large eyes tracked the lights of the cars far below, then turned up to watch an airplane go over before closing as she softly murmured a prayer in the language of her birth. "(Master, keep my friend. Please help her to return to her roost soon. And comfort her mate and her clan.)"

She sighed and looked down again, her fine hair clinging sodden to her head, then unfurled her wings and poised to leap.

Upon entering the TV room, Guinevere gave the tv and vcr a critical look.

"Ah... I am not certain how to work these machines."

Chiyoko has no idea what was going on, so she settled on a chair and stared at the television, waiting.

Guin settled back in a chair of her own to watch.

Chiyoko blinked, staring at the screen, concentrating intensely. Her english was bad enough, but the way these people spoke... she hardly understood a word.

Guinevere watched the screen with interest, amusement, puzzlement, and an occasional flash--quickly covered--of contempt.

At a saloon scene, she asked, "Why do these women debase themselves for the entertainment of men?"

"It is tradition?" Chiyoko guessed, though this looked differant than the Geisha and other women of her own culture.

"I suppose..." she considered. "Humans are strange creatures. Modern times have only made them more so."

Chiyoko watched the movie in interest. So this was the culture that bred the white man of this region. She suddenly understood a bit more about the country she was in.

"Very strange... this old west," Guinevere commented, taking a few bites of her sandwich.

"Are the women here always so loud?" Chiyoko frowned.

"It has been my experience that human women are often prone to hysterics," Guinevere said.

"Are you alright, sister?" Chiyoko frowned at her.

Guinevere looked down. "Yes... are you all right?"

[identity profile] sunstonewing.livejournal.com 2007-11-16 04:41 am (UTC)(link)
Chiyoko took it and sigh. "These women seem... inconsistant."

Guin, however, applauds. "Finally, she shows some real spirit!"

Chiyoko just shook her head and turned back to her food.

"A bit too sentimental for my tastes," Guinevere said, "but enjoyable all the same."
