"The last time I did this," Jeimu grunts as she walks up to the compound gate with bags and boxes in hand, "I was fresh from space and couldn't walk. Now I really should be thinking of the baby, but I'm sure she's tough..."

She looks over her shoulder at Jav and Vic, who are managing the several casserole dishes and tinfoil-covered pans of food she's also brought along rather well.

"Hey!" she calls out. "My hands are full, I can't ring the doorbell!"

Of course she could do it telekinetically, but she's feeling lazy.

The tiny chibi launches himself with total trust, even managing to not trip this time.

She doesn't literally catch him, but he comes to a stop in between her outstretched arms and she settles him on the ground gently.

"There." She grins.
