"The last time I did this," Jeimu grunts as she walks up to the compound gate with bags and boxes in hand, "I was fresh from space and couldn't walk. Now I really should be thinking of the baby, but I'm sure she's tough..."

She looks over her shoulder at Jav and Vic, who are managing the several casserole dishes and tinfoil-covered pans of food she's also brought along rather well.

"Hey!" she calls out. "My hands are full, I can't ring the doorbell!"

Of course she could do it telekinetically, but she's feeling lazy.

There's a pause, and then Ironhide peers owlishly over the wall at her. "Jeimu. What do you *static* want?"

"Let 'er in, ya sot!" calls Chromia from somewhere inside, laughing.

"I brought food, you -" The sound of an aircraft making a low pass near their airspace drowns out Jeimu's declaration of what exactly Ironhide is as she stares up into his massive face. Whatever it is, it is neither pleasant nor truthful.

She growls and stomps her foot, putting a little TK into it.

Sarah and Ronnie both stare at her, then glance toward the sparklings that are running around and playing.

"You're #$%#@$ing me," says Ronnie finally.

"Nope." More hash brown casserole. "As you can see, it's becoming everyone's hobby."

His response is to hug her leg and hide his face. He's more upset than she's ever seen the cheerful little guy be before.

She frowns slightly. "What's the matter?"

"And now I'm not." His single optic twinkles with humor as he sets her gently on the table and then sits in Endeavour's chair.

"Yes. Now you're not. But for one brief fleeting time in my life I was taller than someone. You really broadened my horizons there, Optimus."

She sniggers.

"You might be the leader but don't let Dev catch you sitting there."

He rubs her back gently with a thumb, then carefully scoops Elita up and adds the small human to the handful before turning toward the door and the hallway.

"Shall we join the party?" he asks, cradling both females close to his chest.

"Uh yeah." Jeimu blinks and peers down at Elita.

"I feel very close to both of you right now."

Elita starts, her head turning and her optics seeming to widen as she sees him looking down at them.

"Shhhh," he says quickly as her life support machines complain. "Shh, love. I have you. I'm here now."

Jeimu allowed herself a small smile. "You can set me down," she says meekly, "if you'd like."

He wraps his arms around her, then sticks a finger under her chin and sees if he can't sneak a PDA, which makes Ironhide grumble and avert his optics.

Optimus, meanwhile, is being swarmed by curious and/or gleeful sparklings and has gone to his knees to talk to them, his free arm going out to offer hugs and snuggles.

Jeimu's in a bit of a mood, and she abandons all pretense and gives Jav a very thorough kiss, then flops over to sit beside him.

"Merry Christmas... like... thing."

Ironhide blinks, then points to the white and black femme accusingly. "You are @#$%#$faced."

"Watch yer mouth." Chromia slaps him on the aft in passing.

Bee just shakes her head and glances at her amused husband.

And George is suddenly dancing around Endeavour's feet and yammering excitedly, his tail going like a blur.

Dev grins over at Ironhide. "I love you too," she says, throwing her arms open (with the GFP mouse still securely... secured). "We should have a drink."

George barks loudly and Dev blinks, now completely ignoring Ironhide and reaching down to pet the dog on his head. "Thilly dog."

"Ack! Ye little...." He's just hunkered down and she was that quick! Jav laughs and moves the bowl out of the way. "Git yer own, b'y."

"Is it present time yet?" Rap wants to know from where he's standing in the door with Honey stuck to his back.

Jeimu reaches over and scrubs the dog behind her ears. "You're so cute," she said.

"And I hope it's time for presents," Jeimu said. "I have some good ones to give out."

"Alright." He glances down at Elita, then blinks and looks over at Ratchet and Jeimu again. "You know, I've never been able to understand why he blows on her...."

Dev looks over and blinks: Jeimu has her eyes half closed as a blast from Ratchet's vents causes her hair to kick up like it's in a strong wind.

"Stop that," the human woman complains.

The shuttle shrugs. "You'll have to ask him yourself. And to tell you the truth, I thought giving him a ratchet for Christmas was witty."

"Oh." She chuckles, then looks down at Honey as her first sparked peers at Jeimu and beeps curiously.

"Oh yes, I have something for you too," Jeimu says, grinning as she pulls out a large Winnie the Pooh stuffed bear (complete with plush honey pot) and hands it to the little robot. It's not wrapped; it just has a festive bow arrangement around its neck.

"Sunhunter! Quit that... argh!" Starforge goes over with a crash that makes Epps' daughters giggle and Annabelle wake with a startled wail.

Ratchet watches calmly, then goes to put the mice in the Workshop before returning to sit next to his wife. "You don't need to decorate that part of your shell."

"But maybe I want to."

She turns slightly to look at him intently.

"Hmmm." He starts messing around with one of the shells, then yelps as Chromia belts him in the back of the head. "What?"

She gives him a look.

"Right." He turns back to Jeimu. "Thank you."

"Yeah, don't do that in here. They pack a punch. Ask Jav."

She wasn't sure what to get Elita, so she commissioned the NRAF to help knit a giant scarf akin to the one Dev has. And, embarrassingly enough, all she's got for Optimus is a giant bucket of Lego.

"Uh, you were, uh... smaller, when, um..." She hands it over apologetically.

A sudden minor storm of warm wind shoves the small woman onto her butt.

"Ratchet!" admonishes Optimus, reaching to pick her up.

She blinks for a moment, then deals the large yellow robot a very dirty look.

"What the @@$@$%^ was that for?"

He closes his fingers and resumes leaning. "I'm just feeling like an aft."

She lets herself grin and walks over to drape an arm around his shoulders. "You're not," she said. "You two just don't get along; that's one of those things that ... happens."

He speaks to her soothingly and hauls her to bed.

And meanwhile in the living room Jav's tucked the sleeping puppy into her carrier and gone to put his arms around his wife.

Dev lifts her head toward the light of the ceiling and smiles slightly, before offlining completely.

He scowls and walks down the hall, disappearing into Ratchet and Endeavour's room.

Moments pass, and then there's the sound of a bang and a yelp from Ratchet, followed by low angry words from Jav.

"Uh oh." Both Bumblebee and Optimus are headed that way, while Jazz blinks with surprise.

Jeimu is likewise blinking with surprise, and then suddenly her eyes are brimming with tears of indignation - she didn't mean to bring this apparent personality conflict to the forefront and turn it into everyone's business.

She's unsure of what to do so she just stays where she is.
