"The last time I did this," Jeimu grunts as she walks up to the compound gate with bags and boxes in hand, "I was fresh from space and couldn't walk. Now I really should be thinking of the baby, but I'm sure she's tough..."

She looks over her shoulder at Jav and Vic, who are managing the several casserole dishes and tinfoil-covered pans of food she's also brought along rather well.

"Hey!" she calls out. "My hands are full, I can't ring the doorbell!"

Of course she could do it telekinetically, but she's feeling lazy.

He rubs her back gently with a thumb, then carefully scoops Elita up and adds the small human to the handful before turning toward the door and the hallway.

"Shall we join the party?" he asks, cradling both females close to his chest.

"Uh yeah." Jeimu blinks and peers down at Elita.

"I feel very close to both of you right now."

Optimus pauses and looks at her with dismay. "Are you uncomfortable? I can put you down."

She laughs. "I was only being facetious. Don't worry about it."

He makes the sound of a sigh and continues on his way.

Then he chuckles.

"What's so funny?"

"You told our guests where the sparklings came from?" He tries to sound stern, but that's just too much just like Jeimu.

"I said nothing, O Wise And Esteemed Leader Whose Name Sounds Like A Fun Calculus Problem. It's not my fault their minds found the gutter and stayed there."

She pauses and looks thoughtful for a moment. "I'd be inclined to blame 'Hide and Mia. Say what you want about Ratch and Dev, but they - usually - keep things out of the sights of humans who don't care to see that sort of thing. Namely, me."

It's easy to tell that Jeimu is unloading all her adult sentiments on the no-longer-Chibi Optimus.

"Calculus." He snorts, though his optics are twinkling. "Ah. Of course. Where are Jazz and Bumblebee, then?"

Elita stirs then, her optics opening and looking at Jeimu quizzically.

Jeimu bursts out laughing before realizing that Elita's looking at her.

"Hello," she says calmly, lips twitching slightly as she tries to remain calm.

The tiny femme seems to frown. "This... this doesn't sound like Ironhide...."

Optimus seems to hold his breath as he pauses to look down at her.

"Well..." Jeimu bites her lip, then looks over at Optimus as though to ask 'now what?'.

-Tell her.- A shudder goes through him, though his hand remains steady.

"No," Jeimu says firmly. "It's not 'Hide. It's Optimus."
