Midnight has passed, and a light snow is fluffing down on the castle battlements and piling up in soft drifts in the corners of the courtyard. Voices come distantly from within the castle. All is still otherwise.

And then a figure materializes on the wall. A giant of a man with scaly skin and a horned brow, he turns his head as though listening, his long tail sweeping away the snow.

Then he crouches and waits to be noticed.

"Nothing, nothing," she said. "Just... it sounds very... wonderful."

-Ah.- He relaxes again, only to find himself contemplating the way the light plays on her hair and in her dark eyes. It reminds him of things at the edge of his memory; lovely things that vanish if he tries to grasp at them.

She blushed and looked again, sipping her own tea before absently offering it to him.

Tentatively, he gently touches her mind without looking at it, asking permission before he shows her something now that he knows that he can without hurting her.

She blinked, then accepted the connection, perfectly willing to share all her thoughts with him.

He's staggered a little at the trust, but then concentrates and does a light temporary link so that she can see the memory as if it were her own.

And he shows her the ocean during a storm, grey and tossing, angry and ferociously beautiful. He shares his admiration of it, and his joy at the feel of sea spray and the smell of salt and fish.

She found herself lost in the memory, swept away by the same beauty that captivated him. Absenlty she leaned against his arm, as if to make sure the storm didn't sweep her away.

Hunter holds her reassuringly as the memory sweeps all around them and then fades. Then he offers another; something else that he's seen and been amazed by.

She blinked, then looked around, completely caught up in the visions as she experianced them as he did, her fingers intwining with his.

He finds himself resting his cheek on her head as he envisions the tornado that destroyed his father's lab when he was just new, showing her his awe at its beauty, and his fierce exaltation at seeing the place he hated pulverized. The storm passes within a few feet of his remembered self, but his telekinetic grip holds him safe and fast.

She tensed at the winds, but was comforted by snuggling against him, breathing deep and relaxed as she shared the experiance.
