It's been a few days since the incident with the mugger. Icy has returned to her routine of practicing with Hudson, Goliath, and the other fighters, filling the kitchen with goodness, sitting under the furniture to study, and spending time with Lex. The shock's faded from her eyes, and she even smiles again, but she hasn't said a word since she woke up the night after she knocked the man down. It's not a conscious thing, and she's rather mystified at her lack of voice herself.

Right now she's sitting in one of the living room windows, hidden by the curtain as she scratches away busily in a pretty journal that one of her sisters gave to her. Her handwriting is getting better, and the flow of words onto the page is soothing.

She nods as well. "Speaking with you is quite good for clearing my own thoughts, Icy."

That gets her a surprised look.

"The others mean well, but too often, they speak in solutions. You simply listen."

Icy does another silent 'Ohhhh', her browridges lifting.

"It is nice," Guinevere adds. "Sometimes, silence can be as great a gift as sound."

More 'ohhh' and then a thoughtful look as she takes her tail tuft and frazzles it.

She gives Icy a smile. "You have much more to offer than you seem to believe you do, little friend."

The icy blue girl nods slowly, her eyes clearing a little.

'Thank you,' she writes carefully.

"You are welcome."

She frazzles her tail tuft and smiles, unable to think of anything else to say.

She rises. "I shall leave you to your writings, then," she says. "I am going to check in the kitchen to see if there are any cookies left from the batch that Broadway baked."

Icy smiles, then writes, 'There should be cake. I just made it.'

"Cake? That sound delightful."

'With nuts.'

"Even better."

Icy grins.

She gives the smaller Gargoyle an affectionate smile. "I will see you later, then."

Icy nods and makes a little wave, her grin unfailing.
