Elisa-garg's reality. Castle Wyvern. Icy silence.

It's been a few days since the incident with the mugger. Icy has returned to her routine of practicing with Hudson, Goliath, and the other fighters, filling the kitchen with goodness, sitting under the furniture to study, and spending time with Lex. The shock's faded from her eyes, and she even smiles again, but she hasn't said a word since she woke up the night after she knocked the man down. It's not a conscious thing, and she's rather mystified at her lack of voice herself.

Right now she's sitting in one of the living room windows, hidden by the curtain as she scratches away busily in a pretty journal that one of her sisters gave to her. Her handwriting is getting better, and the flow of words onto the page is soothing.

And Desdemona is still learning how to read properly, but she makes the effort. "Amazing..."

'Not as much as yours,' writes Icy on her scrap paper.

"Do not be so quick to dismiss your own story, my small Sister."

'It is not so hard to believe, except for the ice.'

"I am not so certain. A whole civilization, hidden away for the rest of the world, in what must surely be one of the most inhospitable locations on this world?"

'The older ones spoke often of a time when our land was covered with trees and animals. When the cities stood under the sky.' She pauses and fiddles with her pen, for the first time in her life trying to imagine what that must have looked like.

"I cannot even imagine what that most have been like."

Icy sighs and shakes her head. 'Neither can I. All I can see is the ice.'

"Elisa calls this city the greatest in all the world, that she would call no other home. I fail to see her enchantment. It is dirty, noisy..."

'And smells bad,' writes Icy, looking around quickly.

"And yet it enchants them all," she says. "Even Goliath."

'Maybe we just aren't seeing it yet?'

"It is... possible, I suppose."

Icy wrinkles her nose, but then perks and looks around as voices sound in the hall.

"It has been a pleasure speaking with you, Icy, but I believe it is nearly dawn."

The smaller girl nods and pokes her journal deep into the couch, then hops down, pauses to give Desdemona a grin, and goes looking for Lex.
