Nexus. The random corner where they've met before. Hoping to meet a friend.

Amy's in the quiet little corner of Nexus park where's she's met Sludge twice before. In her hands is a bag which holds several thick sheets of hard gingerbread, which might serve as cookies to someone of the Dinobot's stature. She'd really hoped to meet him again, but now there's snow coming down and it's getting too thick to see through. Her systems are protesting the temperature, and she knows that she should just go home. But she can't shake the feeling that if she does she might miss the mech who's become her best friend.

Her brows draw together uncertainly. She's remembering what he said about drills and she's not sure.

He cups his hand around her shoulder. "...I...will...always...have time." He says this with much concenration.

Amy blinks and wonders at the concentration, but then realizes what he's said and feels the tears try to start again.

"Alright," she says softly, looking down.

Sludge smiles softly and picks her up in both hand again and cradles her to his chest. "Always. Always."

She kneels and spreads out her arms, resting her cheek against him.

"I love you."

As soon as the words get out she's blushing with dismay and feeling like an idiot.

He blinks. "You Sludge girlfriend now?" He tilts his head to the side.

-I've got to stop underestimating him. He's not dumb.- She kisses him back, then hugs him with her eyes closed, feeling some of the hurt and rejection fading away.
