World Outside Time: Four days later: Wedding

Firecracker watched as Sir James and Anmut exchanged rings, her fingers twitching with the urge to pet the hunter green velvet tunic that Sir James wore with black pants and a brown cloak with red satin lining. Next to him, Anmut wore a long strip of white satin wrapped around her body to make something that wasn't quite a dress but looked something like one with sideslits.

The funny coat and collar bowed, then clapped invisable hands together and turned to a page in the big Book which Sir James and Anmut wrote in. Firecracker's mama wrote in it next, and then everyone turned to her.

"Yer turn, lass," rumbled Sir James, smiling.

Firecracker blinked in alarm. "But I can't write."

Sir James thought about the same of cake as any other Wolverine, though he'd rather let someone rip his heart out than admit it to anyone at the moment. "Tastes good."

Jubee nodded, still looking thoughtful, then grinned. "Hey, will you two, like, have any kids? That would be awsome!"

They exchanged a look, Anmut's cheeks darkening slightly.

"Ve don not know, Leibling," said the grey woman softly. "That is up to the Starsinger."

"Well, I think you would totally be great parents," she said, then blinked as Logan coughed and gave her a warning look. "What? Hey, they're married now, what?"

Sir James shook his head as amusement warred with embarrassment. Then he sobered. "When will ye be goin' home?"

Logan looked up, then shook his head as Jubee opened her mouth.

"Soon as we kin get there. There's... there's a lot o' people who felt part a' thier heart die when she went missin'... it ain't fair ta them t' keep 'em thinkin' she's gone," he said, looking at him.

"But I'll come back really soon to visit again. Jubal can show me how to get here," Jubilee broke in firmly.

Sir James bit his lip. "Lass, the Herald cannae allways find this place. The Gaurdian's not sensing it right now either, or he'd hae known ye were here."
