World Outside Time: Four days later: Wedding

Firecracker watched as Sir James and Anmut exchanged rings, her fingers twitching with the urge to pet the hunter green velvet tunic that Sir James wore with black pants and a brown cloak with red satin lining. Next to him, Anmut wore a long strip of white satin wrapped around her body to make something that wasn't quite a dress but looked something like one with sideslits.

The funny coat and collar bowed, then clapped invisable hands together and turned to a page in the big Book which Sir James and Anmut wrote in. Firecracker's mama wrote in it next, and then everyone turned to her.

"Yer turn, lass," rumbled Sir James, smiling.

Firecracker blinked in alarm. "But I can't write."

"Maybe. But not meanly. Wolvie will just try to tackle Old Wolvie and then Old Wolvie would own him if nothing for age and experiance and then Wolvie would grumble and growl until we get enough beer in him to make him happy again," she said, nuzzling her.

"Not happenin' girls," Logan sighed and pinched the bridge of his nose. "Though I would win hands down."
