Logan ducked, then winced and looked up, eyes wide.

"What the-?" he winced, then tried to push the mech's hands away, wanting to go over and see what it was. "Hey, are you alright?"

"He won't. He's protecting his mind, and giving him a link. Please, trust me," Mara said, eyes big as she stood between the boy she knew to be her son and the robot. "Let him help."

"I don't understand." The big hand hovers as he frowns down at her. Bumblebee watches in uneasy silence.

"He's linked his mind with Jubal's, to keep him alive," she said softly, turning back to look at Logan. "It'll help."

-C'mon... where are you? Where are you?- Logan called into the dark space, frustrated. He needed to find the man's consciousness and try a to wake him up a little.

"Jubal," he rumbles thoughtfully, turning his processor toward things he can understand. "You know them?"

Mara closed her eyes, then looked up.

"The man is an alternate of an ex-fiance. Logan... Logan is an alternate of our son," she said softly.

"I see," he says, then leans forward as the monitors make mild warning sounds. "I need to get Jubal back to my lab. If he isn't given medical care promptly he'll die."

"Alright," she said softly, turning and putting a hand on Logan's shoulder. "Logan, wake up!"

The boy inhaled sharply at the familiar voice, then blinked and cringed as the strain of being conscious and maintaining his guard of Jubal's mind fell on him.

"Mum?" he mumbled, delirious.

"Hold on, Logan. We have to move Jubal. Follow my voice, alright?" she said, closing her hand around his.

"Move him..."

"That's right, baby, follow me, alright?" she said, pulling his hand gently off of Jubal's and helping him stand.

"Kay," he whispered, then slumped slightly as his eyes went out of focus.

"You can move him now," Mara said, looking up at Ratchet as she supported the young man. "But Take me with you, or you'll separate Logan's mind from his body and loose them both."
