Optimus sat beneath the tree on the overlook and stared down past the feild below it, his optics seeking toward Mission City as his CPU went over the information he'd just been sent.

Elita stirs slightly from where she's sitting next to him leaning against his leg, and he looks down, one hand going around her tenderly as he thinks how much better she's looking with Ratchet's repairs and upgrades.

Speak of the devil....

Ratchet wanders over and lowers himself to the ground with a sigh, then belts Ironhide in the leg as that worthy mech slaps him in the head in passing.

"'I'm sorry' won't bring my brothers and sisters back to life," snaps the little flier. "You're murderers!"

"You attacked us! Roach was trying to defend us!" Jazz grunts again. "We want to help you, to better understand the situation."

There was an angry buzzing, and Arcee shook her head.

"They're not dead. Roach doesn't kill. They just need medics. And some super glue," she said, noting their size. "Stop, alright? We can settle this if we calm down."

"YOU." She points to Arcee. "Attacked me! And you...." She looks at Jazz, her tiny alien face creased with mistrust that was very apparent even with her squint. "You're Autobots. All you do is laugh at us."

"We didn't know that you were sentient! All we knew is that Frenzy was making you guys."

"We're just here to work things out. We have small bots like yourselves in our own forces," Arcee insisted.

And suddenly two tiny sparks wink out in different places in the 'Con heap. One of the little mechs had been injured by Roach, but the other had never been anywhere near him.

"Damn!" Jazz stops fighting the little critters and stands perfectly still. "Stop attacking! Your killin' yourselves!"

Arcee also went completely still, then looked at the leader. "We don't laugh at you. If we laughed at you we wouldn't be here, would we? We're here to know you, to learn and offer help if you need it. Stop this madness and let's talk this out like reasonable sentinents."
