Optimus sat beneath the tree on the overlook and stared down past the feild below it, his optics seeking toward Mission City as his CPU went over the information he'd just been sent.

Elita stirs slightly from where she's sitting next to him leaning against his leg, and he looks down, one hand going around her tenderly as he thinks how much better she's looking with Ratchet's repairs and upgrades.

Speak of the devil....

Ratchet wanders over and lowers himself to the ground with a sigh, then belts Ironhide in the leg as that worthy mech slaps him in the head in passing.

There's a moment punctuated by incoming footsteps, and then Ratchet bursts into the room. "Jazz? What are you doing here?"

"Aw man I hurt!" He grunts. "I was following the kid to make sure he got in safe. The zap! Pain and then I came here."

"Just hold still." He starts running sensors over him, his face dropping into a frown of concern.

"Everthin' okay?" Jazz twitches nervously.

"It will be. But I think you need to spend the night in the stasis shell," says Ratchet, feeling glad that Uzulee had finished the thing before she disappeared to where ever she's gone. "It'll give your spark time to recover."

"Thank God." He grins and hugs Ratchet. "I'm glad your still around man."

The larger mech gives him an awkward pat on the shoulder, his memory snapping back to the time not so long ago when he nearly wasn't still around.

Then he turns and walks over to where the shell is sitting propped up on concrete filled oil drums and opens the lid.

"Now?" He's almost whining there, but he goes over and crawls in. "It just feels so stuffy."
