KOTOR-verse. Random planet. ((not sure yet))

Alora spins into a hands-free somersault, switching off one blade of her saber and deflecting blaster fire faster than the eye can track with the other.

-Master, I hate fighting living targets.... Ouch.-

She lands and eyes the incoming beings, wincing at the touch of darkness on them, then once more leaps into the air and spins herself into a living blur. Blaster fire glints off her armor, and adds new holes to the tattered jedi robe that's hanging off her shoulders.

-The communication window will be opening in....- She throws up both hands and watches with wide eyes as the power she feels surging through her pushes back the front wave of attackers. -...Five, four, three, two....-

"Canderous, back up!"

He lay his cheek against her hair, eyes dark.

"I don't know why I'm having such a hard time with this."

"Sons don't seem as vulnerable?" She leans back to look at him, her slender brows arching.

"I... suppose," he confessed. "And I know she's more capable now than he was, and that you and other women are more powerful than I could dream of... but I can't believe it. Truly believe it, I mean."

She smiles and rests her arms against his. "It just means you're a good man."

Then she glances toward the sound of thunderous young footsteps in the hallway and chuckles. "Jud and Tob'll learn the right things, with you to teach them."
