Logan stretched and looked up at the sky, then winced as Bethany did the bounce and grabbed Ben.

"What?" He looked up from gnawing on a squirrel bone.

"Gotta pee." She sat him on her hip and headed for the back door, only to stop as soon as she'd gone through it and look around a white hospital corridor, wrinkling her nose at the smell. "Crap."

Logan winces and turns back to put a hand on Ben's back.

"Non't tick him, Ama." He looks at her with sleepy anxiety.

"I ain't, darlin'. I was just runnin' off at the mouth," she assures him.

"Dood. He's my unca now. Famwee." Ben rubs his eyes and closes them again.
