Nexus. A couch little ways from the sign. Furniture vengeance

Blackout finishes charging and unplugs herself from the sign, noting that the hole that Hormah made in it the other day is gone already without a trace.

Thinking of the hole reminds her of Ro-tor, which makes her chuckle as she remembers just how tanked nearly everyone at the Megastar was when they finished partaking of the gifts she'd brought them. Mega-octane had been oddly adorable as he cheerfully hummed to himself.

-Adorable.- She wanders away from the sign, absently kicking over a hot dog stand and shouldering aside a large Autobot on her way to a big couch she can see in the distance. As she goes she makes sure that Scorponok is happily doing something non-lethal, then lets her thoughts go to a certain black mech that she'd met a few weeks before.

-Yes, he is. But the dreams seem to have stopped. Probably just as well.-

Rumbling irritably, she settles onto the couch and leans back comfortably as she wishes, just a little bit.

There's someone moving through the Nexus crowds like a bad rumour, though the mech in question wouldn't appreciate the comparison in the slightest. Skywarp is angry, in a slow-burning way he's pushed aside for the moment. Something's been affecting his processors, and he's sure he knows what.

Grim and intent on getting some answers, he strides towards the sign, scanning in case there's anyone he'd want to seek out - or avoid.

And then his sensors lock on Blackout's outline. Closer than the sign, and much more relevant to his problem. And he's behind her.

Skywarp's optics narrow. With systems on low power and crowds of Nexusites to hide among, he begins closing the distance.

Skywarp looms over her shoulder suddenly, hovering slightly so he can get his guns into line. "Thought I might find you here. You've got a lot to answer for."

Skywarp's policy on Primus is 'who cares, so long as he keeps his nose out of my business'. Hormah's theory wouldn't help that...

There's a pause as Skywarp stares at Blackout. There's no point in being openly affronted - he may not socialise much any more, but he does end up in bars, even on business. And whatever's behind this probably told her that too.

"No," he says slowly, adding, "unless that was some incredibly slow-acting high-grade Baserate gave me."

"He might have been there." With someone, now he thinks of it. "You know a lot about his personal life..."

Thunderclash is involved. Now it all makes sense.

Skywarp take much longer than usual to stir, but eventually he jerks. He coils up as the pain registers and rolls onto his side with a groan.

There's an eruption of floor and dirt very close by. Scorponok emits an enraged shriek as he bursts into the open air, springing towards Blackout. His partner is hurt, and angry, and now offline.

Scorponok is not amused. He's looking to kill.

Now that Scorponok's gone, Skywarp crouches by Blackout, scanning and examining her condition. The lack of response spells even more trouble.

Just what I need.

Meanwhile, the scorpion-bot scuttles up to the couch, springs on to look at his opponent-

And then sinks his tail into the centre of the cushions in a blur of sharp-edged death.

"I remember," he says, and PINs out, damaged 'copter and all. He's got no guarantee Hormah will follow with the stranger... but in that case, he has a weakened Blackout to work with. The tank-bot's attempts to save her have told Skywarp one thing: she's not expendable in Hormah's optics.

He gathers himself as he feels the floor again, abruptly realising that this would be a slagging good opportunity for an ambush. Exhausted as he is, he's crouched and scanning in an instant. Should have thought of that first...

Skywarp all but snarls at Hormah. "Don't backtalk me, greentread, you aren't up to it. I didn't attack her, and I'm not some spineless apologist to take up guilt that isn't mine."

His voice drops. "But I can see her repaired, and I can find out what's going on around here."

Skywarp's silent for a moment. He's kept his head down since Galvatron died; he's strong, but he hardly has the position he once did. And of all the people who might have tried this for personal reasons - well, they're dead.

More importantly, 'big' for his world means nothing to the Nexus.

"Thunderclash," he says finally. "I wouldn't be surprised if he's found this place." And to those the little slimeball has talked to, Thunderclash is big.

Skywarp snorts and looks at Blackout again. "You'd better hope he hasn't caught anything." He nods at the offline chopper-bot. "Do you need anything else for her?"
