Nexus. A couch little ways from the sign. Furniture vengeance

Blackout finishes charging and unplugs herself from the sign, noting that the hole that Hormah made in it the other day is gone already without a trace.

Thinking of the hole reminds her of Ro-tor, which makes her chuckle as she remembers just how tanked nearly everyone at the Megastar was when they finished partaking of the gifts she'd brought them. Mega-octane had been oddly adorable as he cheerfully hummed to himself.

-Adorable.- She wanders away from the sign, absently kicking over a hot dog stand and shouldering aside a large Autobot on her way to a big couch she can see in the distance. As she goes she makes sure that Scorponok is happily doing something non-lethal, then lets her thoughts go to a certain black mech that she'd met a few weeks before.

-Yes, he is. But the dreams seem to have stopped. Probably just as well.-

Rumbling irritably, she settles onto the couch and leans back comfortably as she wishes, just a little bit.

Blackout shrugs and shifts again, scowling at the persistence of that itch. "I've never seen them outside the dreams."

"You've already said you met one of the Minicons."

She pauses and rumbles. "Thought you meant Thunderclash and Nightwish. I have no idea where the other crew are based. Our alliance is based on transactions undertaken here, and it's usually Hormah who engages in them."

Finally giving in, she reaches down to scratch the itch, then freezes in horror as she hears the sudden hiss of gas. "Slagging #$%#$#@, Skywarp run!"

Skywarp... hesitates. He's disinclined to either trust Blackout or ignore a warning.

There's a flicker of movement as he darts back, but the instant of confusion was enough. The gas from the couch washes over him, too.

Blackout gains her feet before the familiar pain hits and wrenches at her spark. -No... he wasn't even touching the....-

"Yarrrghhh!"

The Nexus seems to shake at her fall.

Skywarp, in contrast, has no idea what's happening. Or perhaps he does, if you count 'another slagging trick'.

Determined though he is to stay up, and get free, the pain rises too far, too fast for him to control it. He drops to the ground, and then to his knees as he starts to go offline.

Blackout is blind and deaf, but she's still trying to crawl away. She actually runs into Skywarp before her instinctive flight is halted and she collapses onto her face, rotor blades shuddering.

A little distance away something starts to form, but Blackout is unaware of the birth.

Her spark flares up as part is torn away, then flares further like a tiny nova.

Searing pain in his spark core is the last thing that registers on Skywarp's consciousness before his systems shut down out of self-preservation.

That he's just lost part of his spark - well, he'll be angry if he finds out. But it's doubtful he'll actually miss it...

Light flares up around Blackout and around the new mech as he forms. Then it dies away, and the big grey-black youngster turns his head and looks around with curious red optics over a perfect copy of Skywarp's battle mask.

Skywarp's still out of it, slumped uncomfortably on the floor. Its going to be a little while before his systems recover enough to start rousing him.
