Orphan Sam's universe. Lawrence, Kansas.

She stood there, invisable in the broad light of day, and watched Sam, her turquoise eyes intent and a little sad. Behind her on the ground lay the remains of the thing that had tried sneaking up on him unawares, but she had no interest in her kill. Things like that weren't food. You only killed them to keep the world from stinking and to protect your own.

Sam was just standing there. His thoughts were closed, so she couldn't talk to him, but she was content to just watch over him for now.

There's the thump of an invisable tail as she takes the gift daintily, her whiskers brushing his hand. -Thank you.-

She eats carefully, sighing in relief as she feels the Westward tug easing. It's not a full anchor, but she's safe now.

If Sam pays attention he'll notice that he feels her a little more strongly now.

She sits up and raps her head on the underside of the table, which makes a passing waitress start and look at Sam. "Bang your knee?"

He gives a slight nod and reaches under the table rubbing Zanoah's head. "Yeah."

John comes back and finishes his eggs, then pours and drinks a little more coffee despite the two paper cups he's holding in his left hand. "Ready?"

"Yeah, I'm ready." He states getting up and heading out to the Impala.

"Here." John hands him a couple of cream and sugar packets, then one of the cups of coffee.

He takes the coffee and packets and goes ahead and puts it in the coffee stirring it up before going and climbing into the car.

The older Winchester slips into the other side, then grunts in surprise and saves his coffee as Zanoah decides to climb over him and between the seats to get into the back. "What happened to not touching?"

-It's all good now.- She sits down and pokes her head and shoulders between the seats again as he frowns and pulls the door shut.

Sam blinks a bit. "How's it all good now?" He shakes his head and makes sure his door is shut and starts the car heading towards the house.
