She stood there, invisable in the broad light of day, and watched Sam, her turquoise eyes intent and a little sad. Behind her on the ground lay the remains of the thing that had tried sneaking up on him unawares, but she had no interest in her kill. Things like that weren't food. You only killed them to keep the world from stinking and to protect your own.

Sam was just standing there. His thoughts were closed, so she couldn't talk to him, but she was content to just watch over him for now.

"I wouldn't do that if I were you. It's hot and you wouldn't like the taste."

-You like it.- She sniffs his mouth.

"Quit that. And, yes, I do like it."

She licks him on the cheek in appology, then sniffs the side of his cup. -I want some.-

John is just sitting there watching, his mind distracted a little from what's to come by the sight of his son having a seeming one-sided arguement with a wolf.

Sam takes the lid off his coffee cup and pours some of it into the part of the lid without the hole and sets it down. "Just remember, I warned you. You won't like it and its kind of hot."

She sniffs, then takes a cautious taste and thinks about it, eyebrows quirking.

Then she grins and drinks the rest. -More?-

"You don't need anymore." Sam states with a chuckle. "You're not even supposed to like the stuff."
