KOTOR-verse. unknown planet. Mother/daughter bonding?
Alora ducked the swing of a wicked looking halberd, then swept off the droid arm that held it before swirling and deflecting a blaster bolt.
-Well, this has got to be one of more honest receptions we've gotten,- she mused, watching as another bolt went through the edge of her swirling robe. -They didn't even pretend to be glad to see us. Master! Protect her! ...Thank You.-
She clenched her teeth as Tiji turned just in time to meet the droid that had intended to attack her from behind, then whirled with a slight creak of armor to meet her own next opponent.

-Master, he's only trying to protect his family... I don't want to have to kill him.- She thought of the Togorian woman and babies she and Tiji had seen in tanks in another room. -Show me what to do.-
Once more she circled and then ducked behind him, then turned and slashed at the lockbox on the door. Fire suddenly burned into her side as the Togorian found a breach in her armor and dug his claws into it.
Alora gasped, but cut again and watched the door slide open before she turned and struck at her opponent. "Tiji, get inside! Finish it!" -Master, help her get away from the droids....-

-Mother...-
She slammed the saber down into the central power core. The explosion shorted out her blade and blew her backwards into a wall with bone-shattering force.
The power flickered, then died.

Something filled her throat, and she coughed and spat blood. "They're free."
"What?" He looked around, rumbling with concern.
"Your... family. Room 98B...." She coughed again, then fell under the swirl of blackness with her daughter's name in her heart.

"Let me see!" a worried tenor heralded the arrival of a worried husband, and arms wrapped around her even as he started pulling away at the armor.
"Let me help," Jolee settled down by him and started easing Alora back into consciousness.
"Tiji-" Carth looked up.
"I've got her," Atton bent down and gathered her up, earning a soft sob of protest from a half conscious girl. Atton smiled. "Easy, sweetheart. I'll only be a minute."
