Alora ducked the swing of a wicked looking halberd, then swept off the droid arm that held it before swirling and deflecting a blaster bolt.

-Well, this has got to be one of more honest receptions we've gotten,- she mused, watching as another bolt went through the edge of her swirling robe. -They didn't even pretend to be glad to see us. Master! Protect her! ...Thank You.-

She clenched her teeth as Tiji turned just in time to meet the droid that had intended to attack her from behind, then whirled with a slight creak of armor to meet her own next opponent.

Carth caught him and held him still.

"Easy. Easy, boy, it's going to be alright. Your brother will be fine, we'll get him healthy agian," he said in his ear, holding him gently but firmly. "Relax, fighting us is not going to help." Zaalbar went and retrieved the boy, laying him down for Alora to help.

Alora moved with him, keeping her hand on the boy's face as she prayed fervently, whispering in a strange language like water over stones.

"That's not how Jedi work." An old man frowned suspiciously.

"She's not your typical Jedi," Carth said, holding the boy close. "But if anybody can save the boy, she can. Now, how many in here can't move to a ship on their own?"

"Get that witch away from him!" The old man moved suddenly, his foot catching Alora in the ribs with enough force to make her crumple. Startled people gasped or called out protests, and frightened children wailed.

Zaalbar gave a furious roar and grabbed him.

"NO!" Carth thundered, spinning around. "Zaalbar, don't hurt him."

Then the man bent down quickly. "Alora, Alora, are you alright?"

She was gasping for breath and fighting the urge to vomit, but she pushed herself up to a sitting position and gathered the limp form of the little boy in her arms and held him for a moment before nodding and resuming her prayer. -Master, please. You said to ask. Let him wake, let him breath again and run and play with his brother.-

Carth put the boy on the floor, bending and wrapping his arms around his wife and the boy.

"Lean back," he whispered to her softly. "Let me support you."

She leaned against him sideways instead, weeping now as she felt her Master's compassion. People looked at her curiously as they gathered themselves up and got ready to move. The twelve year old brother watched with wide eyes, trying to understand the woman's tears.

"Shh," Carth's demeanor had gone from tough Republic Admiral to loving, worried husband in less than a second, and he held her and the boy all close. "Shh. It's alright. I'm here."

She closed her eyes and rested against him, falling silent for a moment as she watched and listened to things that only see or perhaps a Jedi could see.

Then she gathered her feet under her in preparation of getting up as she got the order to move out. "Let's get these people out of here, love."

Carth nodded and kissed her cheek, then helped her up, know he wasn't welcome to take the boy.

Instead he went over to the elderly man in Zaalbar's arms.

"Listen, sir," he growled. "We have a lot of people who need help walking, and not much time to get out of here. If you can keep yourself together we'll let you down and you can walk, or we can tie and drag you out of here. Now which is it going to be?"
