Alora ducked the swing of a wicked looking halberd, then swept off the droid arm that held it before swirling and deflecting a blaster bolt.

-Well, this has got to be one of more honest receptions we've gotten,- she mused, watching as another bolt went through the edge of her swirling robe. -They didn't even pretend to be glad to see us. Master! Protect her! ...Thank You.-

She clenched her teeth as Tiji turned just in time to meet the droid that had intended to attack her from behind, then whirled with a slight creak of armor to meet her own next opponent.

"Get out. I'll take him down," Carth said, moving in between her and the droid, his sheilds firing up.

She shot him a quick glance, but remembered that her own armor had withstood the blast from the last droid, though it had been compromised.

"Master, protect him," she said aloud, darting back and then running after the others.

The twelve year old met her, his pale young face resolute as he held a small jeweled blaster in one hand.

"What are you doing here? Where did you get that?" she demanded, feeling angry at seeing him here.

"(No time, Alora, we must get them out,)" Zaalbar called from ahead of the fleeing masses.

"Mother!" Tiji ran up, then stopped when hse saw the boy. "Whoa. Little feisty, huh? Where's dad?"

Satisfied that his wife was gone Carth charged the droid with an armor peircing vibroblade.

"Taking his turn to blow up a war machine." Alora turned her around and put one hand on her back and the other on the boy's, then pushed them ahead of her. "Go! We can come back afterward, but I don't want you hurt."

"But dad," Tiji's eyes got big. Nevertheless she followed her mother's orders and scooped up the kid. "Mission's getting all of the supplies ready."

"He'll be alright. We survived the other one, though our armor didn't." She noted the twelve year old's eyes widening in surprised protest, but just shoved them along. "Can you sense anymore hostages? He can't have just had these on this level."

"There are a few other rooms, I can sense their distress. But shouldn't we get these ones back to the ship first and call for help? Jolee and the others have dropped off two roomfuls, I'm not sure the Hawk can fit so many."

"That's what I was thinking." She sighed, then winced at a twinge from her ribs. "I need a break after this. What do you say to an ale at Logan's Place?"
