Alora ducked the swing of a wicked looking halberd, then swept off the droid arm that held it before swirling and deflecting a blaster bolt.

-Well, this has got to be one of more honest receptions we've gotten,- she mused, watching as another bolt went through the edge of her swirling robe. -They didn't even pretend to be glad to see us. Master! Protect her! ...Thank You.-

She clenched her teeth as Tiji turned just in time to meet the droid that had intended to attack her from behind, then whirled with a slight creak of armor to meet her own next opponent.

"No," she said gently. "They haven't. He died in one of the skirmishes."

He winced and held her close, then bowed his head.

"You know we have to leave it up to them. But there's plenty of room on the ship, so I don't see any problem with it."

She bit her lip and closed her eyes, feeling guilt rise up. "I'm sorry."

"Kids come when they come. Nothing we can do about it. I'm happy to have them, if it's what you want."

She kissed him back, then sighed. "Alright. Are you coming to bed?"

He kicked off his boots and took off his jacket and shirt, then slipped into the cover and settled in, pulling her close.

"Get some rest, sweetheart," he murmured.

She sighed and snuggled close, dropping off almost immediately.

Somewhere in the night Tob had a bad dream and brought his little brother down to the bottom bunk, where he snuggled the two of them against Carth's back and went back to sleep.
