Kurt slowly rocked his daughter. Eyes closed he sang a soft German lullaby to her, tears splashing down his cheeks again as he waited by his wife's bedside. She wasn't awake yet.

He rocked his child, his beautiful baby girl. She was a treasure in his arms, and every time he looked at her he became more resolved. He was going to get her away from this planet, as soon as possible. Once Joy woke up he'd take them back to the castle, to their world, and he'd keep them there. Safe.

He sighed. If only she'd wake up....

"Oh," Ororo beamed. "She's wonderful. Congradulations, to the both of you."

"Danke." Joy felt her cheeks heat in a blush of pleasure that didn't show for the darkness of her skin.

Then she chuckled as Juwel yawned apologetically, smacked her lips, and went back to sleep.

"So precious," Ororo smiled, then carefully offered her back.

Joy took her and gently wrapped her once more in the warmth of her wing, then hastily covered a yawn. "Och! Fergi' me."

"I've leave you to rest. Perhaps we can have lunch sometime?" she offered, looking hopeful.
