World Outside Time: Jubilee a few days later

Jubee sat on a balcony, her diary open on her lap as she smiled into the sunlight shone down on her.

She smiled into it, then looked down and started to write all about hunting with Sir Logan in the jungles. She was getting better at using the special boots that helped her move over the void. She'd even almost not gotten stuck a few times before she had to yell for Anmut's help, but with practise she'd learn to only need the winged woman's help a few times, like Sir James.

She continued to write for a while, smiling to herself. Her time here, in the World Outside Time, seemed like a beautiful, comfortable dream, and her life before... well... that seemed like somebody else's life, like a scarey, depressing book that she'd left on the shelf and almost forgotten.

This seemed a good enough place to stay, and live, and never think about problems again... this was so perfect.

She sighed and smiled, leaning back against the wall and closing her eyes, enjoying the sun.

"Well, yeah. At the Cafe there's one called Dog who never became a Creed at all. He's really nice. And Fluffy was a Creed, but then he got a daughter and then he went feral and got stuck that way, so he's like a big, cuddly kitten-man. I really really like him."

"Y'don't say." He shook his head, then turned toward the kitchen. "That's good t' know."

"Yeah. And Uncle Fluffy, he's the feral one, he and the Jubes of his verse are even in love. They're like... just so perfect for eachother. It's crazy," she smiled. "Besides, this girl isn't her old man."

"True, that," he said, his expression bemused.

Jubee grinned and hugged him tightly.

"She needs me. Specially if she doesn't have anyone but us right now. She needs you, too, she liked her old Wolvie."

"Sounds like she met him just the once and not fer long," he said, stopping and hugging her back.

"Still, you're familiar. Did you know what I would have done for something familiar when I first woke up here?" she looked at him with big eyes. "Well... guess you did, seeing as I tracked you down and you tied me down to the bed and left me there."

Pain flickered in his dark eyes as he held her close and lay his cheek against her hair. "I'm sorry 'bout all that, lass."

"I knew you were just lonely," she hugged him back and kissed his cheek. "Otherwise I wouldn't have gone after you. You're a Wolvie, and I'm a Jubes. We're supposed to bicker and be at eachother's throats when we first meet. Story of everyone of us I've ever met."
