Gargoyles 'Verse: Castle Wyvern: We are Family

The notion of slipping from one universe to the next when they felt like it was an alluring one, and the members of the Manhattan Clan of the universe where Elisa Maza had become a Gargoyle and where Brooklyn had danced the corridors of time and returned with a new family intended to enjoy it when possible.  So when an invitation had been extended, some of them had jumped at the chance.  With the mess going on with Angela right now, it was good to get the kids out of the house.

"Now," Brooklyn said as he, Katana, Nashville, and Tachi appeared in the courtyard, "you kids are gonna be on your best behavior, right?"

"Uh-huh," Tachi said.

"Yes, Dad," Nash added, rolling his eyes.

"And if the other me is there, what did I say to do?"

"Not listen to a word he says," Tachi giggled.

"Right."

"Aye," said Hudson wistfully as he launched himself and Jane into the air. "Though I'd nae be against carrying her along."

The Brooklyn family likewise took to the air, following after Hudson.

Hudson dropped and glided low, weaving around tall buildings and going past Christmas decorations that were already up. A few people actually noticed he and the others. Most just looked and kept going, but there were a couple waves.

"Too freaky," Brooklyn said. "I mean, I saw humans and Gargoyles getting along in the future, but that was almost two hundred years from now... and there was an alien invasion to deal with."

"I'm nae complaining." Hudson grinned at him, though his eyes held sympathy.

"Eh, we'll get there, sooner or later."

"Lord willin' ye willnae hae t' wait too long." He swooped low past a toy store with huge windows full of fascinating things, wanting Nash and his sister to see them.

"Whoa! Look at all that stuff!"

Hudson chuckled. "We kin come back 'n look again after, if yer mother says tis alright."

"Provided you behave yourselves," Katana said, "then I would see no harm in it."
