Maggie appears in the other universe and looks around apprehensively.  She desperately needs someone to talk to and, frankly, there's no one in her own universe that she feels comfortable talking to right now.  Not Derek, no one in the Labyrinth, and most especially not Elisa.

Though the person she's most looking for might not be the best source to vent her problems too...  At least it's one step removed from home, a little further away from it all...

The Maggie who appears in the courtyard is one troubled cat.

"We really thought Jane was it. Hudson was a little... more than a little surprised when we found out otherwise."

"I know Derek's going to be surprised. Even with what we saw here, we weren't even sure we could even have children."

Lucy nods, sighing with relief as the elevator comes to a stop. "Like I say. Just make sure you're not near any edges when you tell him."

"Not a worry. I don't much like heights."

A chuckle. "I never used to care for them. Till I met the Clan."

She leads the way to the front door and then out onto the snowy street, her small boots leaving rounded prints.

Maggie's barefoot, of course, but between her fur and the pads on her feet, she'll manage all right.

There's hesitation, of course. Secrecy has been the word she's lived by for more than two years now. But she takes a deep breath and walks out onto the street.

No one even bats an eye at her, not even the cabbie that Lucy flags down.
