Elisa-garg's reality. Castle Wyvern. Icy silence.

It's been a few days since the incident with the mugger. Icy has returned to her routine of practicing with Hudson, Goliath, and the other fighters, filling the kitchen with goodness, sitting under the furniture to study, and spending time with Lex. The shock's faded from her eyes, and she even smiles again, but she hasn't said a word since she woke up the night after she knocked the man down. It's not a conscious thing, and she's rather mystified at her lack of voice herself.

Right now she's sitting in one of the living room windows, hidden by the curtain as she scratches away busily in a pretty journal that one of her sisters gave to her. Her handwriting is getting better, and the flow of words onto the page is soothing.

"I think... It may be time to have an actual talk with Elisa and Goliath. If fighting has proven to be so difficult for you, we must find another way in which you can contribute."

'No.' She winces and bites her lip. 'If I keep practicing I'll learn.'

"If that is what you wish."

'I don't want to be trouble,' she writes, then looks up.

"A Clan finds the place and role where each member best fits. At Wyvern, there were those among the Clan who only possessed rudimentary skills as warriors, and were thus given other duties when possible."

She looks up, browridges lifted. Really?

"It is the truth, Sister. Though that Clan was much larger than this... It should not be necessary for you to fight."

'But I want to stay with Lex.' She's heard of the plan for the other place, and for Lex to lead it. And she's not sure that a non fighter will get to go.

"I do not see how that would be a problem."

Her brow ridges lift, but she trusts her sister. Gwen and Chiyoko are her closest friends.

She looks back to her paper and taps her pen on it as she thinks.

"You have heard? About what Lexington is planning?" she asks. "Foolish of me. He would have told you already, I am sure."

She nods, then writes, 'I was there when Jubilee first brought it up, too.'

"I am not certain I understand humans well enough to fully grasp how this is intended to work... But if it does, it could mean much to the whole Clan, to Gargoyles everywhere."

She taps her pen again in thought, then lifts her brow ridges and writes once more. 'Maybe I will be useful, after all. Humans like cute things.'

And her research has shown her what constitutes the human ideal of 'cute'. Big eyes, a pudgy body, and small size. Oh, and pretty colours help too.

"I have been wondering if I should participate in this. I cannot say I appreciate the idea of becoming fodder for someone's amusement."

Icy looks at her thoughtfully, then nods. She can understand her sister's recitance.

"On the other hand... It would seem nearly all the other younger members of the Clan will be going as a part of this. Yourself, Lexington, Broadway and Angela... If Chiyoko also goes, I would be here alone with the others."

Icy bows her head slightly and looks to one side, then writes, 'I think Chiyoko is thinking of other things.'

"Oh?" She had not, personally, spent that much time with their newest member, so she was uncertain what Icy meant.

She nods. 'A tall man with scales and a tail came to see her a couple days ago. I went in the kitchen before I knew they were there.' She blushes slightly, her tail curling.

Guinevere smiles. "And you found them... being romantic, shall we say?"

'Snuggling. Chiyoko looked so happy.'

"I wish her well then."

So, Lex and Icy, Chiyoko and her male companion. That left her as the single indecisive female around.

Icy looks up at her, then writes, 'Do you still like Franklin?'

She looks away. "Dearly. But it is... I declared my eternal love to my Goliath, bound myself to him for the rest of my days. I do not know what I should do. I came to this place, this time, without explanation or means of return, but what if I should be able to do so some day?"
