In a new place.... again.

Kurt woke slowly, his head hurting and telling him about his restless night. He turned slightly in his book, and turned, looking up and seeing a large canopy above him. He blinked and looked up, to his surprise seeing a few globes of light hovering above him.

He sat up, finding himself fully clothed, and turned, pushing the curtains aside slightly, only to see Joy, curled up, asleep on the windowsill that only belonged in castles.

He slowly got up and eased off the bed, then went over, picking her up, careful of her wings, doing his best not to wake her as he lifted her and brought her over to the bed, putting her down on it and making her comfortable before he looked around, wondering where they were now.

"Here," he said, peering through the branches and then teleporting them both into the trees, turning them so that they could land easily inside.

Joy ducked her head instinctively, though the narrow, vaulted corridor they were in was plenty tall enough for her to stand upright in. "Ach. Thank ye, Leib." She looked around, inhaling the now nearly overpowering smell of the flowers, which were growing all around them. The leafless vines twining about and the fuzzy green roots hugging their tree trunk supports.

"Vhat a dreamland," he said softly, looking about him in wonder, his tail twitchin around his ankle.

Birds and other creatures called, sang, and twittered or chittered from all directions. As Kurt watched a tiny emerald jewel of a mouse scampered into sight and regarded him a moment with wide purple eyes before diving into a flower.

Joy just stood and soaked it all in, lost in memory.

He smiled and stood by her, taking her hand and squeezing it gently.
