Morning finds no Sam in the room. Only a Dean with a sore wrist.
He wakes a bit slow, and looks around frowning at not seeing Sam.
The 'com crackles and Mal's voice says, "You wanna come get the kid, Doc? Vi won't let nobody near 'im."
