Kathrine wasn't exactly a weak woman. But she had her highs and lows in life. Her rights and wrongs. The good and bad, it was never just one thing for her. Her life was complicated at best and pur chaos at worst. She was an oddity amung her co-workers and dispite her earlier attempts to get out of the supernatural she had found herself back in it.
She hadn't meant to get pulled back in. But the offer had just been to let her work at research. Nothing too active. Just talking with people because she had a real feel for it. It was nice actually. She had been back in the saddle fully for a week. On a case where some kids had gone missing. They had her looking over the pictures. But now she was off. They hadn't wanted to burn her out on the first day.
She was humming a tune under her breath and didn't notice a man coming up from behind her until she was grabbed and tossed into a wall. She had her gun out and blinked.
Who was that?
"You...smug little witch! Think you could put me away from good...Oh yes. I remember you. Dirty little thing. All grown up now," the man taunts.
Kat frowns at him. "Just freeze. Look. I don't know what you're talking about." The situation might just turn ugly. She frowned at the man trying to place where she had seen him before.
She was ready to fire if nessisary but didn't see the other man until he got at the very edge of her vision. Her eyes darted to get a look at him when a gun shot rang out.
