random_xtrasAmy sighs and flops down onto the grass. "Christmas stinks."
"No! Mean people on Chrissy mas stink," counters a deep, gentle voice from overhead.
"I didn't have any people on Christmas." Amy hugs her knees.
Her friend cups his hand around her. "You have me, Sludge?"
She's silent for several moments, then shakes her head. "I didn't mean to try and make you feel sorry for me, Sludge."
The Dinobot tilts his head and lifts her close to his chest. "Not want sad!"
Amy winces and wipes her eyes hastily, then stands on his hand to lean against him and spread out her arms in an attempt at a hug. "I'm sorry, Sludge. I'm alright."
Sludge rumbles deeply as his thumb gently rubs her back. "No, you Amy-girl not. Me, Sludge not know how to help."
She quivers slightly, fighting hard against the urge to cry again. "You're helping. I just.... I don't know what to do anymore."
