Future'Bot's verse. Amy's apartment. Day two of the squishy Sludge LOL.

Amy rolls over, then sits up and looks around before hopping up out of her bed. It's the work of a moment to fold up the couch and stow her bedding, and then she's brushing her hair as she tiptoes over on small bare feet to the big air mattress that's on the open floor space by the balcony door.

"Sludge?" she says softly, sitting on the side of it carefully so that she doesn't rock him. "Are you awake? Do you want breakfast?"

Sludge grumbles as he comes into the waking world and smiles softly when he opens his eyes to Amy. "Mm? Breakfast ready?"

She strokes his head and leans down to kiss him on the cheek. "A few minutes to warm it up. How are you feeling?"

"Bed like sleeping on shuttle." He sits up and returns the kiss. "Me, Sludge liked."

Amy grins and starts to hug him, but then pauses and offers him his shirt instead.

Sludge nods and takes the shirt. Which he struggles to get over his head.

She squirms a bit and laughs, then hops to her feet and heads for the kitchenette. "Don't worry, there's plenty."

He rises and follows her to the kitchen. "Amy have small house."

"I'm a small person." She chuckles from where she's got her head stuck in the small freezer in the corner, gathering up packages.

"Then it good for Amy." He grins, which quickly transforms into a worried frown.

"Here, will you take these for me?" She lifts her head to offer a container, then blinks. "What's wrong?"

She stares at him, her processor in a whirl, then closes her eyes and hides her face against him. "Are you sure?"

"Yes. But me not know how to make house for you." He says this and cuddles her.

"Remember when I said that I could make an apartment in your bookcase?" She lets go his shirt to hug him back.

He tilts his head and smiles. "Would Amy be happy on a shelf? Tracks say femmes prefer pedestal."

"Pedestals don't have walls for pictures." She chuckles and looks up at him.

The syrup in that bottle is homemade, thick and rich and redolent with cinnamon and buttery plant oil. The jam is also Amy's own work, as are the waffles.

Amy puts in the last of the sausages and looks over her shoulder. "Do you want some scrambles, too?"

Sludge nods excitedly and when he thinks she isn't looking, takes a lick of the syrup. "Sweet!"

She glances over her shoulder again and sputters with laughter. "Use a spoon!"

"Erk!" Sludge makes a guilty face and puts down the bottle in embarassment. "Sorry!"

She just grins and walks over to hand him a teaspoon, then goes on tiptoe to offer him a kiss on the cheek.

"No... the other mail's a notice of divorce finalization." She leans against him, blinking.

He kisses her hair and frowns. "What we do?"

Amy closes her eyes and rests her forehead on him. "I can't turn them away."

Then she blinks and sits up. "We?"

"Me, Sludge, Amy boyfriend. We do it together."

She looks at him with concern. "They're smaller than I am."
