Remieverse - Quiet Night
Remie hummed a soft, merry Cajun tune as she carefully wiped down every glass, tap, and countertop at the bar, cleaning up while the buisness was quite. As usual a few familes were inside, enjoying a relaxing meal, and in the corner a couple men were anxiously watching the football game on a television, sharing nachos and beer and playfully warning eachother occassionally about getting drunk when the owner's wife was around.
Remie smiled to herself as a hand fell to her budding stomach, the smooth, growing lump warm and seeming to emmit its own energy. She smiled fondly, then sighed happily and sat with a virgin margurita to take the weight off her feet for a moment.

Deciding that her plan of eating and finding a room before she went out and rubbernecked had been a good idea, she walked over and dropped her pack in a booth, then sat next to it and looked around for the waiter.

"Hey chere, what you doin' out here late n' alone?" she asked kindly, pouring her some coffee and offering the menu.

Ettiene watched him go. "Swamp angel...." Then his bleary hazel eyes turned to Remie. "You... look like de Gambit."

Tony frowned uncertainly and pondered the offer, then started and threw up and invisible wall as the waitress came up behind her.
"Wha...?" Marie blinked as she bounced off it.

To the big marine, she patted his should. "Right. Sorry."

Tony took a deep breath, her cheeks red with embarrassment as she took the wall down.
"It's alright, shugah," said the waitress gently, giving the girl a smile before she turned to Remie and showed her a Mexican ten peso bill. "That fellah's four dollahs short 'n wants ta use this."

Near morning
Re: Near morning
She sighed happily, the hand by Schalk's neck stroking it gently as she smiled in her sleep.
