A darn good place to hunt and fish

Logan looks around as they appear on the bank of a wide, tree-shadowed river, his senses reaching out to find any trace of danger that may be lurking nearby. Feeling content that there was none, he looked at the two kids clinging to him and listening to the silence all around them and chuckled. "Y'kin let go now."

Alec lets go and looks around them at everything that was there. The boy completely awe struck with it all because Seattle didn't have this stuff in it.

Logan gently pries Uzulee off of him, then shakes his head as she abruptly shifts to her furry blue halfway form. "Nothin's gonna hurt ya, kid. Lookit Alec 'n 'is cat, do they look scared?"

Uzulee looks, then shifts the rest of the way and turns into a petite blue sabertooth with big brown eyes.

Logan facepalms.

"Where are we?" Alec asks still looking around the place.

He looks over at Logan a moment having felt the man's eyes on him before going back to eating. Then his eyes dilate as he hears something off in the distance, letting him see through cat's eyes rather than human eyes.

Logan shakes his head at Uzulee as she lays down in the shallows and starts playing with a big catfish that was dumb enough to nearly beach itself because of her splashing. Then he notes Alec's alertness and turns that way himself for a moment before returning to the mussels.

"Big bird." Alec states simply.

She purrs and gently headbutts him, then nuzzles back before looking up at the bird. (What?)

"What do you mean what?" He asks her before looking up towards the bird.

(What's that?) She looks down and gives kittyAlec a quick cheekrub, then looks back at the bird.

Uzulee watches too, unconciously shifting back to her in between form and going into the classic Beast crouch. "Is it some sort of eagle?"

"Don't know. I've never seen an eagle before. Seen hawks before but not eagles."

"And I've never seen either, except in books." She cocks her head, brown eyes sharp with curiosity. Then she flinches as Logan uses his cigar to light the pile of wood he's gathered together. "Oh.... That's a big fire."

"I should'a took you out sooner, kid," says Logan ruefully. "Yer embarrassin' yerself."

"I am?" She blushes right through her blue fur.

She looks up with wide eyes, then scrambles after him and perches on the first branch she comes to. "Wow. Grandpa looks really small from up here."

He'd not even really been paying attention but he looks over and nods. "Yeah, he does." He states gathering a few sticks.

She studies her grandfather for a few moments, then looks up and grins. Climbing is something familiar in this otherwise new strange place. Before Alec has had time to blink she's off in the branches over his head, swinging around like an ape.

Her big eyes go wide and then narrow as she gives a playful growl of her own and swats at him.

His own eyes narrow and he gives another playful growl and swats back at her.

She giggles and swats once more, this one just hard enough to sting a little.

She sits on him, then starts licking his chin where many people are ticklish. If he's not the skin's going to start getting sensitive with a few more swipes....

And he suddenly gives a growl (still playful) and turns them so he's got her pinned.

She squirms and tries to get he back legs up to claw at him again, then makes a happy sound and tries for a lick.

Uzulee mews and pokes her face over, trying to snag some of the food, then squirms and turns to swat at her grandpa as he pokes her in the ribs.

"Change back, runt." He chuckles.

Alec just purrs contentedly and goes to eating some of what he has.

Logan nods, then applies himself to the fish, handing more to the kids as they finish theirs and chuckling as the cat puts away his fair share.

Alec eats his own and looks down at the girl giving her a smile and purring contentedly. Mmm... that had been good.
